WWE's Becky Lynch Calls Ric Flair's Comments "Sad", Ric Flair Responds
A war of words between Ric Flair and Becky Lynch commences
Becky Lynch has responded to Ric Flair's recent comments about her.
Big-Time Becks' real-life issues with Ric's daughter Charlotte Flair have risen to the surface in recent weeks, during which Lynch noted she no longer trusts The Queen.
Ric then suddenly commented on the situation earlier this week, tweeting: "Think I'm Going To Have To Make The Trip Personally To See You Beat The P*ss Out Of @MsCharlotteWWE! I Don't Think So Sister, The Man, Big Time Becks, Or Whatever You Call Yourself. There's Not Enough Choreography In The Business To Save You @BeckyLynchWWE."
Speaking about Ric's tweet on Ariel Helwani's MMA Hour, Lynch called Flair's comments "sad" and claimed he was trying to use her to get clout.
"Look, I saw that tweet. The one that you're referring to. The one that I'm kind of referring to and I looked at it and I wrote out a response that would have been quite biting and I deleted it and I let it go because I think it's really sad because this is a legend at one point. This legend, a 16-time world champion Ric Flair is now jealous of me. It's cool for me. And is now trying to use me to get clout to promote whatever he has going on next because he's dug himself into a hole with other things. So I kind of was just like, ah let me let him out of it because it's kind of sad. It's kind of sad," Lynch said.
The Nature Boy seemingly took issue with Lynch's response, as he fired back in another tweet, writing: "So Disappointed! I Did This Out Of Respect For You @BeckyLynchWWE! It Made You Millions & Made Me Nothing. After 40 Years Of Being The Man... The Company Doesn't Own It, And Neither Do You! I'll Always Be The Man! Ask Your Husband."
Within the tweet, Ric referred to his previous battle with WWE over 'The Man' trademark in 2019 after Lynch started using the term as a nickname. Flair filed two trademarks in 2019 but the matter was eventually settled in May 2020 after Flair sold the trademarks to WWE for an undisclosed amount.
