WWE's Brian Kendrick Confirms Retirement From Wrestling

Brian Kendrick has confirmed he is retired as a performer for WWE. 

The 41-year-old has recently been working as a producer for the promotion, helping with 205 Live and NXT, and his retirement from in-ring competition has been confirmed in a video package with WWE Performance Center. 

Speaking in the video, Kendrick said: "Initially the idea of producing seemed like a good - not a retirement plan - but the next best thing to wrestling. But it turns out it's just as rewarding, in different ways. I love every bit of it. It's a whole new way of looking at wrestling for me. I welcome the challenge. 

"Getting this opportunity to train a little bit, do a little producing, it was something I figured I'd fall back on when I was done wrestling, if I was lucky enough to get the opportunity. I thought it would be the next best thing after wrestling, but I didn't realise how much I would enjoy it."

A former WWE Tag Team Champion with Paul London, Kendrick returned to WWE in 2016 as a part of the Cruiserweight division. He was also considered one of Ring Of Honor's biggest stars during his time with the company, and is widely credited as having one of the sharpest minds in the business.
