WWE Scraps Judgment Day Name Change Plans Following Fan Backlash

WWE scraps plans for Judgment Day renaming

WWE have scrapped plans to change Judgment Day's name to 'Street Trash' following fan backlash to the idea, according to WrestleVotes. Street Trash, reportedly a Finn Balor idea, won't be going away completely, however, and will be incorporated into the new version of Judgment Day in another manner.

"A good follow up on this: looks like they heard the outcry! Source claims the name Judgment Day will remain, however the slogan 'Street Trash' will be incorporated within the group's gimmick. The 'Street Trash' idea came directly from Finn Balor, with merchandising concepts already completed and approved," WrestleVotes tweeted.

It was reported this week that plans were in motion for WWE to rebrand Judgment Day, with the new likely name being 'Street Trash.' The group was referred to as the new Judgment Day on Monday Night Raw, though, and that will seemingly be the case moving forward.

Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest were kicked out of Judgment Day at SummerSlam, with the new version of the stable consisting of Finn Balor, JD McDonagh, Dominik Mysterio, Liv Morgan, and Carlito. Ripley and Priest will look to exact a measure of revenge against Mysterio and Morgan in their mixed tag team match at Bash in Berlin.
