WWE are bringing back the Slammy Awards

The Slammy Awards will be making a return to WWE, with it being announced on WWE.com that WWE’s awards show will be coming back during WrestleMania 40 weekend, with voting now open online for categories including Female Superstar Of The Year, Male Superstar Of The Year, Best Entrance, Return Of The Year, Faction Of The Year, Rivalry Of The Year, NXT Superstar Of The Year, Match Of The Year, OMG Moment Of The Year, Social Star Of The Year, and Breakout Star Of The Year.

It was announced by WWE that the awards event will be streamed on YouTube and other social media platforms, and the ceremony will be hosted by Big E and Cathy Kelley.

It has been several years since WWE last held a Slammy Awards line-up, with the last time being back in 2020. These Awards have been an on-and-off thing for WWE over the years, starting out back in the 1980s originally. A new tagline has been added to the new Slammy Awards set up, with it being branded as the “2024 Slammys: Fans Choice Awards”.
