Zoey Stark Returns On WWE NXT, Earns Women's Title Shot

Zoey Stark had a successful night on Tuesday.

The NXT star had been out of action for several months since she suffered a torn ACL and meniscus at Halloween Havoc 2021 but she returned from injury on Tuesday and competed in the 20-woman battle royal for an NXT Women's Title shot. 

The battle royal ultimately came down to Stark and Cora Jade - who had dumped her NXT Women's Tag Team Title in the trash earlier in the night - and Jade seemingly had the upper hand as Stark thought she had been eliminated earlier in the match after she was chased away. Jade hadn't been thrown over the top rope, though, and she looked set to eliminate Stark until the returning talent countered and tossed her to the floor below, winning the match in the process. 

Stark then had a staredown with NXT Women's Champion Mandy Rose as the show went off air. The challenger will ultimately be out for revenge as WWE wrote her off TV back in November of 2021 with a Toxic Attraction backstage attack.
