Alberto Del Rio Arrested On Charges Of Sexual Assault

The former World champion was arrested Saturday...

Former WWE star Alberto Del Rio was arrested Saturday and faces charges of sexual assault, according to a report from News 4 in San Antonio.

The alleged victim told police on Monday that at 10:00 pm the previous evening, Del Rio (whose real name is listed in the report as Jose A. Rodriguez Chucuan) reportedly struck the victim several times, and then forced her to put on a dress and dance for him.

According to the report, when she initially tried to refuse the order, Chucuan, "...said not to cry because if she did, he would take her son and drop him in the middle of the road somewhere."

The arrest affidavit states that the woman told police that Chucuan had sexually abused her, and had photos taken of her injuries.

A report from the Bexar County Sheriff's Office says that Chucuan was held five hours on Saturday before being released that afternoon, with his bond amount set at $50,000.

Since departing Impact Wrestling in 2018, Chucuan has freelanced for various smaller promotions. He last wrestled for WWE in 2016. His most recent highlight in world of sports was a fight with MMA legend Tito Ortiz last December for Combate Americas, which he lost.
