Change Made To Raw Women's Title Match At WWE Hell In A Cell

The WWE Raw Women's Championship match at Hell in a Cell is no longer a singles match...

Last night's Raw saw a significant change made to the Raw Women's Championship match at WWE Hell in a Cell on June 5.

Reigning champion Bianca Belair will defend her title against both Asuka and Becky Lynch, after the latter won in this week's Raw main event.

The match saw Becky defeat Asuka to make the bout at Hell in a Cell a triple threat match. This came after Asuka beat Lynch on last week's Raw - with the use of green mist - to initially become number one contender.

Becky brought up the mist to Adam Pearce in order to secure the rematch with Asuka, and won in order to force her way into the title match at Hell in a Cell.

This entire storyline seems to have been booked at short notice, given the recent controversy surrounding Sasha Banks and Naomi. Many have since reported that, prior to her exit from last week's Raw, Naomi was supposed to become Belair's number one contender for Hell in a Cell - with tag partner Banks likely facing SmackDown Women's Champion Ronda Rousey.
