Edge Returns At WWE SummerSlam

After it was revealed that he would be coming back tonight on the SummerSlam Kickoff Show, Edge did indeed make his return during tonight's pay-per-view. 

As Finn Balor called for a chair during Judgment Day's No Disqualification match against The Mysterios, The Brood's music suddenly filled Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tennessee and a new Edge made his way out of an elevator at the top of the entranceway as the 11-time world champion was surrounded by flame. 

Wearing a red leather jacket, Edge then charged to the squared circle and he proceeded to take out his former Judgment Day allies in Finn Balor and Damian Priest with Spears before The Mysterios hit a Double 619 on Balor to pick up the win. 

Edge had been away from WWE TV since he was kicked out of Judgment Day on an early June episode of Monday Night Raw, with Priest, Balor, and Rhea Ripley claiming Edge was the weak link in the faction he created. 

During his time off TV, mysterious vignettes that featured memorabilia from Edge's past rivals aired to hype The Rated-R Superstar's return, which ultimately culminated at SummerSlam.
