Former ECW & WCW Talent Jumps Off The Top Of A Steel Cage At ISPW Event

A wild spot from a former WCW talent in 2023

A former World Championship Wrestling star risked it all recently at an independent wrestling show.

Independent Superstars of Professional Wrestling held their Rage in the Cage event in West Milford, New Jersey on Friday, April 14 and the show was headlined by a Steel Cage Match between former ECW and WCW talent Crowbar and "The King of Rock" Rick Recon, who was managed by Busted Open Radio's Dave LaGreca.

The show featured the typical cage offence but came to an end after Crowbar hit a Leg Drop from the top of the cage through a table to Recon to score the victory. Crowbar was then helped backstage by his wife, former ECW ring announcer Dina Caravella, before Maven and Bull James (FKA Bull Dempsey) entered the ring and beat down Recon and Dave LaGreca to end the show.

The Mutant Leader from the Dark Knight Returns and Gotham was also scheduled to wrestle at ISPW but he ultimately did not compete.

Along with working on the independents, Crowbar has competed for All Elite Wrestling, New Japan Pro-Wrestling, and IMPACT over the past couple of years. He came to prominence in the 1990s as Devon Storm in ECW before wrestling as Crowbar in WCW from 1999 until 2001.
