Goldberg Reveals He's Under Contract With WWE For 2 More Years

Could we see another world title run...

At Super ShowDown 2020, Goldberg reached the top of the mountain in WWE once again as he defeated "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt to win the Universal Championship. The WWE Hall Of Famer then held the title until WrestleMania 36 before dropping it to Braun Strowman at The Showcase Of The Immortals.

The former WCW World Heavyweight Champion hasn't been on WWE TV since, however, and he revealed why during a recent appearance on The Pop Culture Show. He explained he has a two-matches per year deal with WWE which runs for another two years, but the wrestling behemoth has already exhausted his match limit for 2020.

Goldberg said: "I am contracted with the WWE for the next two years through 2022-23. I've got two matches per year. I have exhausted my limit this year quite early on April 5th with WrestleMania, you know, under really weird circumstances. But I've got another couple of really interesting projects right on the cusp but, as you guys know, in the entertainment business right now everything is kind of on hold… My WWE commitment is still going strong man. I'm 53. I never would have imagined, especially after making fun of Flair when he was doing it in his early 40's."
