Johnny Gargano: AEW & WWE Have Pros & Cons

Speculation has been rife about Johnny Gargano's pro wrestling future since Triple H was installed as head of WWE creative, with fans noting that Johnny Wrestling may return to his former employer. All Elite Wrestling remains an option for the former NXT Champion too and Gargano admitted at Starrcast V that both companies have their pros and cons. 

"Everyone loves Hunter. This time period of my life has given me a unique opportunity to sit back and surgery the landscape of everything. If I would have made a decision immediately, who knows what would have happened. The fact that I told myself that I was going to sit back, watch what happens, and make a decision based off that. I love things where both places are going. There are pros and cons, get it, cons, Khans, wordplay. I love what both places are doing," Gargano said. 

Johnny Wrestling has been a free agent since December 2021 when his WWE contract expired. He and wife Candice LeRae have since welcomed their first child into the world.

Gargano hasn't stepped away from pro wrestling completely and he appeared via video on Thursday's episode of IMPACT Wrestling to praise Alex Shelley.
