Kevin Owens Insults Steve Austin's Hometown Amidst Reports Of WWE WestleMania Match

Revenge from Austin could be on the horizon

Kevin Owens appears to be desperate for his comeuppance from "Stone Cold" Steve Austin.

The Prizefighter has insulted Texas, Austin's home state in promos in recent weeks and now Owens has taken aim at The Texas Rattlesnake's hometown.

Following a tweet from a fan asking what KO thought of Victoria, Texas, Owens replied: "Sounds like a really lame place."

Austin had been billed as from Victoria, Texas during his WWE career and it is listed as his hometown on his WWE profile.

Owens' insults of Stone Cold's hometown come after it emerged Steve Austin vs. Kevin Owens had at least been discussed for WrestleMania 38, although talk within WWE suggests the match is already a "done deal" for The Showcase Of The Immortals.

Should Austin return at WrestleMania, it would be his first match in 19 years. The WWE Hall Of Famer previously retired after his WrestleMania 19 match against The Rock due to several injuries.

WrestleMania 38 is set to take place in Texas this year at Arlington's AT&T Stadium on April 2 and April 3.
