Latest On Edge Possibly Returning To WWE For One More Match After Reportedly Signing New Deal
Rated R Superstar is here to stay!
The rumour and innuendo machine has been in overdrive in recent times as it pertains to WWE Hall of Famer, Edge.
The Rated R Superstar stepped down from his role on the E & C Pod of Awesomeness recently, and now there's talk that he could be in-line for a return to the ring.
Dave Meltzer has the latest on the situation, writing the following in the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter: "While it is not confirmed that he will wrestle again, the idea of him wrestling again has definitely been talked about very privately, although we’re not sure if he can get clearance. Those within creative, who admittedly wouldn’t know as this would be kept super secret, are still under the impression Edge will never be cleared to wrestle again."
Edge, of course, hit his first televised wrestling move since his retirement match all the way back at WrestleMania 27 as he Speared Elias on the SummerSlam 2019 Kickoff Show.
Meltzer also writes about Edge securing a new deal after using AEW as a bartering tool: "Edge got a new deal by negotiating with both sides, and thus ended up with a significant WWE offer to stay."
