Mark Henry: Rob Gronkowski Has "Ronda Rousey Or Kurt Angle" Potential

"The World's Strongest Man" is high on Gronk...

Three-time Super Bowl-winning tight end Rob Gronkowski will be hosting both nights of WWE WrestleMania 36, and his involvement with the company isn't likely to end there. The 6'6", 270-pound bruiser has a chance to do something bigger in the world of professional wrestling, and one WWE Hall of Famer is rather high on him.

Mark Henry spoke on Busted Open Radio about the prospects of "Gronk" inside the squared circle, and has even gone so far as to compare him to other crossover athletes.

“Rob Gronkowski has a lot of personality," said Henry. “He is a walking, living party happening 24 hours a day. I love the guy, I think that he’s gonna make a really good wrestler. Once you’ve got some seasoning and some in-ring experience.

“I’d say by WrestleMania next year; I don’t know if he’ll be at Ronda Rousey's level for a first timer, or Kurt Angle for a first timer, but he has that potential.”

Henry does admit that there are plenty of intangibles when it comes to Gronkowksi, adding, “You know he’s gonna have to learn some of the fighting arts. I don’t know if Gronk can box. We don’t know if he can shoot wrestle. We don’t know if he could kickbox, there’s a lot about Gronkowski that we don’t know.”
