Nikki A.S.H Suffers Injury At SmackDown Tapings
Nikki ASH was helped to the back after her match on SmackDown
WWE held a double taping session of SmackDown on August 26, and it seems that former WWE Raw Women’s Champion Nikki A.S.H may have suffered an injury during the show.
On the episode that aired live on August 26, Nikki A.S.H and tag partner Doudrop were unsuccessful in a WWE Women’s Tag team Title Tournament second chance fatal four way match, with Nikki taking a superplex to the floor onto a mass of gathered wrestlers, seemingly smashing her foot into a barricade whist doing so. Post-match when the cameras weren’t rolling, Nikki was noticeably clutching her leg on the floor, and had to be helped to the back by Doudrop and medical personnel, with fan footage of the situation circulating on Twitter.
So far there’s been no update from Nikki, Doudrop, or WWE themselves as to the severity of Nikki’s injury, or indeed if it is anything major or just a knock.
WWE fans will be hoping that Nikki will be cleared in time for WWE Clash at the Castle on September on September 3, with the Scottish national likely to receive a heroes welcome at WWE’s first major UK PPV in 30 years.
