Report: Mia Yim And Mercedes Martinez's Retribution Names Revealed
And they are...
On this past week's episode of Monday Night Raw, Dominik Dijakovic became T-Bar, Dio Maddin was rechristened Mace, and Shane Thorne took on the name Slapjack. Their fellow Retribution members Mia Yim and Mercedes Martinez hadn't received new official names, at least on screen yet.
But reports from Heel By Nature and PWInsider say that both Yim and Martinez have new names, per recent trademark filings
Heel By Nature reports that on September 21, WWE filed trademarks for five names: T-Bar, Mace, Slapjack, Retaliation, and Reckoning. Each trademark was filed as the name of a professional wrestler.
A report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider now claims that Martinez will be known as Retaliation, and that Yim will be Reckoning.
A previous report from WrestleVotes claims that the name "Shatter" was considered for one of the group's two females at one point.
Stories have indicated that the names of the male members of Retribution were met with disbelief and laughter backstage at WWE's TV tapings, and fan response to the names has largely been the same.
