Report: Rhea Ripley Will Not Appear On NXT TV For A While

A long trip beckons...

At WrestleMania 36, Rhea Ripley competed in the most important match of her career to date as she went one on one with Charlotte Flair. Ripley was unable to vanquish The Queen, however, as she was forced to tap out to the Figure Eight, losing the NXT Women's Championship in the process. The bout was considered by many to be the best match of night two.

Fans will seemingly have to wait a little while for the former champion to get her rematch as Mike Johnson at PWInsider reported that Rhea will have to travel back to Australia to renew her work visa. This will prevent her from working the upcoming set of NXT tapings and she will not return for some time as she will have to undergo two weeks mandatory quarantine upon arrival in her home country.

Johnson also reported that this could be connected to Ripley's loss at The Showcase Of The Immortals, but this does not appear to be the case. WWE instead wanted Charlotte to win the title because they think the 11-time Women's champion will help the black and gold brand defeat AEW: Dynamite in the ratings.
