Report: Tony Schiavone Now Operating As Tony Khan's Right-Hand Man

Tony Schiavone alongside Tony Khan in AEW

In an update on the backstage dynamic within All Elite Wrestling, it has emerged that Tony Schiavone is now operating as AEW President Tony Khan's right-hand man.

Steve Muehlhausen of DAZN noted that Khan has "really leaned" on Schiavone, who will have plenty of experience working in a chaotic environment from his many years in World Championship Wrestling.

"Sources: Not formally an update but news on Tony Khan. Hes really leaned on Tony Schiavone and been told hes now Khan's 'right-hand man'. Schiavone knows all about chaos when he was in WCW and should be a great person to lean on and be a sounding board on Punk/Elite altercation," Muehlhausen tweeted.

Schiavone has been a part of All Elite Wrestling since 2019 and alongside his commentary duties, he was recently promoted to Senior Producer and Special Advisor to Talent. Schiavone noted that his role involves him walking around backstage and checking in with talent to see if they're happy.

Schiavone will have had a busy few days as Tony Khan's right-hand man following the backstage fight between The Elite, CM Punk and Ace Steel on Sunday which reportedly saw Ace Steel bite Kenny Omega and throw a chair which hit Nick Jackson and gave him a black eye. The altercation came about after CM Punk took shots at the AEW EVPs, Hangman Page, and Colt Cabana during his post-All Out press conference.
