Report: Top WWE Talents Believe Sasha Banks Has Been Released

While there has still been no official confirmation from WWE, "several high-level talent" within the company believe Sasha Banks has been released, according to Fightful Select.

It was initially reported in June by Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc. that Banks had been released by WWE, with WrestleVotes later confirming the report. Banks is still listed on the active roster page on WWE.com, though, and Vince McMahon's company have not officially announced that Banks has been let go, nor has talent relations informed wrestlers of a release. 

Banks does appear to be done with WWE nonetheless as she and Naomi were reportedly removed from the internal WWE roster this week. Fightful Select also noted that the former WWE Women's Tag Team Champions were taken off other internal rosters weeks ago and WWE creative are working under the assumption that Banks and Naomi will not be coming back. 

Furthermore, Naomi and Banks have both removed any mention of WWE from their Instagram bios, simply referring to themselves as professional wrestlers. 

Issues between WWE and Banks and Naomi arose after the tag team walked out of the May 16 episode of Monday Night Raw over a creative dispute. Banks and Naomi were then suspended indefinitely and stripped of the Women's Tag Team Championships.
