Report: Update On Fans Attending WWE Royal Rumble 2021

Could fans be at the Rumble...

No fans have attended a WWE main roster show since the March 9 episode of Monday Night Raw because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The company planned to bring fans back in late July but those plans were quickly scrapped. Virtual fans have appeared inside the ThunderDome since August 21 instead.

WrestleVotes reported back in September that WWE is hoping to have live fans in attendance for Royal Rumble 2021.

In an update, WrestleVotes noted the company wants a decision to be made on if fans can attend the Rumble by January 7. This would allow WWE to make a possible announcement on January 9 or 10. The chances of fans being able to attend the pay-per-view are reportedly 50/50.

They tweeted: "Internally, WWE is said to want a decision on whether fans are permitted for the Royal Rumble by January 7th w/ a possible announcement of sorts coming that weekend. Source states odds are 50/50 right now. Important month ahead."

WrestleVotes also revealed the pay-per-view is scheduled to be held on January 31.
