Report: WWE Have WrestleMania 39 Backup Plan For Bobby Lashley

Bobby Lashley will still be involved at WWE WrestleMania 39

Bobby Lashley's match at WrestleMania 39 has been up in the air in recent weeks since it emerged that Bray Wyatt was off WWE TV with an illness and it was unclear if he would be able to return in time for the Show of Shows.

So far, Brian Cage and Matt Cardona have offered to face Lashley in place of Wyatt at WrestleMania 39 but WWE have a separate backup plan in mind for the former United States Champion, WrestleVotes told GiveMeSport.

"A personal health issue on Bray Wyatt's part is going to keep Bobby Lashley off the WrestleMania card. With that said, I know that there's a backup plan...I do know that they're gonna get Lashley on the card in some form. I heard the plans for Bobby had something to do with LA Knight. I think there's a tie-in with some type of segment that LA Knight is going to be involved in," WrestleVotes said.

WrestleVotes then added on Twitter: "Adding: WWE will find a way to get Lashley on the card. A match vs. LA Knight isn't planned as of now, but has been discussed for over a week now."

LA Knight isn't currently advertised for a match at WrestleMania 39 but a clash with Stone Cold Steve Austin was reportedly pitched to The Texas Rattlesnake. Austin has noted this week, though, that his days in the squared circle are done
