Report: WWE World Heavyweight Title Match Listed Internally For Bad Blood

World Heavyweight Title clash potentially set for WWE Bad Blood 2024

We are a few weeks away from the return of Bad Blood, with the fourth ever Bad Blood event - the first in 20 years - set for Atlanta’s State Farm Arena on October 5.

Several matches have already been confirmed for the show, and a report from Dave Meltzer on F4WOnline states that internal listings within WWE have Gunther vs. Sami Zayn listed for the event, with Gunther’s World Heavyweight Championship on the line.

“Gunther vs. Sami Zayn is listed on the internal lineup for a WWE title match at Bad Blood on 10/5, so I guess it’s a six-match show and not a five-match show with the Cody Rhodes & Roman Reigns vs. Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu, Drew McIntyre vs. CM Punk Hell in a Cell, a teased Nia Jax tag match (depending on next week’s Smackdown tag match result), Liv Morgan vs. Rhea Ripley for the women’s title and Damian Priest vs. Finn Balor,” said Meltzer.

The two shared the ring on September 9 in Canada, with Gunther disparaging Zayn and Bret Hart before ‘Der Ring General’ and Zayn engaged in a brawl. Zayn memorably ended Gunther’s record breaking Intercontinental Championship reign at WrestleMania XL.
