Revealed: When Bryan Danielson's AEW Contract Expires

An update on the end of Bryan Danielson’s AEW contract

Bryan Danielson recently revealed that his days as a full-time wrestler are numbered, with the legendary ‘American Dragon’ revealing on the September 9 edition of AEW Collision that he promised his daughter he’d finish up when she turned seven.

In a follow-up with Sports Illustrated, Danielson revealed that he will indeed be intent on keeping his promise to his daughter, with it reported that his deal with All Elite Wrestling will be coming to an end after her seventh birthday in 2024:

“In my mind, it’s around August of next year,” said Danielson. “My daughter will say, ‘Daddy, are you going to be done wrestling when I turn seven?’ And I’ll respond, ‘Well, not exactly when you turn seven, but I’ll be on the home stretch.’

“I didn’t get a chance to do All In this year. I would like that chance next year. We have a show, WrestleDream, this October 1 in Seattle where I’m wrestling Zack Sabre Jr. If we have another next year in Seattle? Maybe it will be then. My daughter turns seven in May, so it’s a good time to close down the shop.”

Danielson recently returned to in-ring competition at AEW All Out with a blood-spattered win over Ricky Starks in a Strap Match.
