'Show Them That It Was A Mistake' - Bronson Reed Reveals Shawn Michaels Message Following WWE Release

Bronson Reed has revealed the message of support he received from Shawn Michaels following his release from WWE, with the Hall Of Famer imploring him to 'show them that it was a mistake'.

Reed worked closely with Michaels during his time in NXT, with the Heartbreak Kid serving as one of the brand's lead producers.

The former North American champion was shocking let go by WWE in early August, amid reports he was set for a call-up to the promotion's main roster, and Reed has revealed that Michaels reached out to him in the immediate aftermath.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Reed said: "I got to speak with Shawn right after my release. He actually texted me, very shocked, and said, ‘You have to show them that it was a mistake. Keep working. It was not something we saw coming.’

"I was speaking with him at the previous tapings about future storylines, and where we were headed. In my mind, creative already had plans for me until the end of the year."
