An angle was run during the television taping on Sunday, per PWInsider, which set up a bout for the Knockouts Championship between new champion Mickie James and her number one contender Mercedes Martinez.

The match will take place for the Title at IMPACT Turning Point 2021 on November 20 at Sam's Town Live in Nevada.

James won the Title from Deonna Purrazzo at IMPACT Bound For Glory on Saturday, while Martinez secured her spot as the number one contender to the championship at IMPACT Knockouts Knockdown. The former WWE NXT star won the eight-woman tournament held that night, defeating Tasha Steelz in the final to secure a future IMPACT Knockouts Championship match.

Martinez only made her debut with IMPACT at the start of October, after being released by WWE in early August.
