The Rock Agrees To Help Induct Ken Shamrock Into Impact Wrestling Hall Of Fame

The Rock and Impact Wrestling?

The Rock appearing on Impact Wrestling (even from a distance) is somehow fitting for a year as surreal as 2020.

Ken Shamrock reached out to his former WWE rival on Twitter Friday, asking him if he'd be a part of his Impact Wrestling Hall of Fame induction, which takes place as part of Bound For Glory on October 24.

Shamrock wrote, "@TheRock Hey brother I am being Inducted into the Impact Wrestling HOF I would be very grateful if you could send a Induction greeting. After all I believe my time with you was my greatest memories in Wrestling. Thank you."

Shortly after, Dwayne Johnson responded, "Congrats, my brother. Awesome news. I will take care of this and get it to you by this weekend."

Shamrock and Rock feuded with each other in late 1997 and throughout the first half of 1998, facing off at several PPVs for Rock's Intercontinental title.

WWE permitted Impact to use footage of Shamrock's time with them in his Hall of Fame induction package, including him submitting Rock to win the 1998 King of the Ring.

Shamrock won the NWA World Heavyweight title on the first ever Impact broadcast in 2002, when the organization was known as NWA: Total Nonstop Action.
