The Usos Win SmackDown Tag Team Titles At WWE Money In The Bank

The brothers are champs once more

Jimmy and Jey Uso are the new SmackDown Tag Team champions, having defeated Rey and Dominik Mysterio on the Kickoff show of Sunday night's Money in the Bank pay-per-view in Fort Worth.

The finish came when Jimmy pinned Rey, after dropping him onto the turnbuckles, and then covering him with Jey providing additional leverage that the referee did not see.

The win gives the Usos their seventh overall Tag Team title in WWE, and their fifth reign as SmackDown Tag Team champions. It's their first reign with the titles since April of 2019, when they lost the SmackDown belts to the Hardy Boyz on the post-WrestleMania SmackDown.

Rey and Dominik's reign as champions comes to an end after 63 days. They won the gold at WrestleMania Backlash on May 16, defeating Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.

The Usos' win marks the first time any WWE championship title change has taken place outside the state of Florida (24/7 title excluded) since Sami Zayn defeated Braun Strowman in a handicap match to become Intercontinental champion on March 8, 2020 in Philadelphia.
