Warner Bros. Discovery 'Really Happy' With AEW Dynamite Ratings From April 24

Warner Bros. Discovery reaction to AEW Dynamite ratings revealed

All Elite Wrestling had a rough night in the ratings with the April 24 edition of AEW Dynamite. The show averaged 683,000 viewers and a 0.23 rating in the 18-49 demographic, according to Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, which was Dynamite's lowest total viewership since January 6, 2021. Dynamite was harmed by the episode airing live on the West Coast, which Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer stated harmed the show by eight per cent.

AEW ranked #6 in the 18-49 demographic on cable. The only shows that finished ahead of Dynamite were two NBA playoff games on TNT, two NHL playoff games on ESPN, and an Inside the NBA show.

Despite the ratings, Warner Bros. Discovery were "really happy" with the Dynamite numbers from April 24, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider. It was noted that AEW had a lot of competition yet still finished in sixth place for the night on cable. With the obstacles of AEW airing live on the West Coast of the United States and audio issues on TBS, Warner Bros. Discovery were good with the ratings.

Dynamite went off the air with a high-profile angle that saw The Elite take out AEW President Tony Khan. The AEW CEO proceeded to wear a neck brace throughout the weekend while he was involved with the NFL Draft in his role as Chief Strategy Officer of the Jacksonville Jaguars. During an appearance on the NFL Network, Khan called WWE the "Harvey Weinstein of pro wrestling."
