What Sami Zayn Did After WWE Raw Went Off The Air Revealed

Sami Zayn had some words to say after WWE Raw went off the air

Sami Zayn put over Bron Breakker as the likely future face of WWE following the August 12 edition of Monday Night Raw from Austin, Texas.

Zayn invoked his rematch clause to challenge Bron Breakker for the Intercontinental Championship in the main event of WWE Raw and the two competitors clashed in a two-out-of-three-falls match. Zayn scored the first fall but Breakker managed to even the score at 1-1 as the decisive fall got underway.

Zayn looked set to win down the stretch after he connected with a Helluva Kick but Bron Breakker managed to kick out. Zayn then went to the top rope but he was caught on the way back down with a Spear from Breakker. The IC Champion then covered his opponent to record the successful title defence.

The match ended Zayn and Breakker's trilogy of matches. Zayn won their first title match at Money in the Bank before Breakker captured the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam with a decisive victory.

After Raw went off the air, Zayn was full of praise for Bron Breakker before he hailed Austin, Texas as a "wrestling town."

"As much as I don't like him, you have to give respect to the Intercontinental Champion and in all probability the future face of WWE, Bron Breakker. I don't really have a ton to say. If I have to say anything, it's that I have been coming to this city for a very, very long time. Long before I was even in WWE back when I was wrestling in the Mohawk here in Austin, Texas. This city was a wrestling town back then and it's still a wrestling town right now! And if you don't believe me, look around because we sold every single seat in this building out," Zayn stated.

Where Zayn will go next following his loss to Breakker is unknown but speculation and teases on WWE TV have suggested he will team with Jey Uso and pursue the World Tag Team Championships currently held by Finn Balor and JD McDonagh.
