WWE NXT Talents To Potentially Appear On Other CW Shows

Big plans for WWE NXT & The CW

The partnership between WWE NXT and The CW looks set to be a fruitful one for both parties.

NXT will begin airing on The CW from October 1 as part of a multi-year deal. Mike Johnson of PWInsider has noted that CW is "all in" on promoting NXT as much as they can and there have even been early pitches thrown around about NXT talents possibly appearing on other CW series at some point down the line. Other CW programming includes All American, Mysteries Decoded, The Big Bakeover and a whole host of other shows.

WWE NXT have big plans for the move to The CW and the first two episodes of NXT will air outside of the WWE Performance Center. NXT will premiere on The CW from Allstate Arena in Rosemont, Illinois and CM Punk will be on the show. NXT will then head to the Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri for the October 8 episode and Randy Orton is expected to appear.

PWInsider noted WWE's long-term goal is to raise the prestige of NXT as much as possible following the move to broadcast television. It is also hoped within WWE that NXT will provide a jumping-on point for younger audiences who will then watch WWE's other programming as well.
