WWE Producer Adam Pearce Confirms He Tested Positive For Coronavirus

Multiple people within WWE tested positive this week...

Last night, reports noted multiple people within WWE had tested positive for coronavirus this week. Ryan Satin at Pro Wrestling Sheet first reported at least three people, including in-ring talent, have contracted the virus, but the actual number could be higher as Mike Johnson at PWInsider noted a source told him new cases were in the "two dozen range."

WWE producer Adam Pearce confirmed on Twitter earlier today that he tested positive for COVID-19. The five-time NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion tweeted: "Covid was NOT on my birthday list."

Pearce has been present at WWE TV tapings in recent weeks and appeared on Monday Night Raw and Friday Night SmackDown as an unofficial general manager. This included him having to negotiate with talent about the future of the Intercontinental Championship tournament after Elias was hit by a car.

Former WWE Backstage host Renee Young announced last night that she has also tested positive for coronavirus. She tweeted: "Man. What a few days. My show gets cancelled and I get Covid. Wear your masks and wash your hands. Stay safe, everyone."
