WWE Used Wrong Footage For Ethel Johnson's Hall Of Fame Induction

During Tuesday's Hall Of Fame ceremony, WWE inducted the likes of "Dr. Death" Steve Williams, Buzz Sawyer, Gary Hart and Ethel Johnson into the legacy wing of the Hall Of Fame. 

As is common with inductions, WWE broadcast a video package to highlight the inductee's past work, but the company made a mistake when it was time for Ethel Johnson's moment. Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that the company actually used footage of Sandy Parker, a female wrestler active from 1969 to 1986, instead of Johnson. 

Since the Hall Of Fame ceremony, members of Johnson's family have taken to social media and called for WWE to fix the mistake. 

A niece wrote: "Y'all need to fix this because if you're going to use my aunt Ethel in the hall of fame at least reach out to the family! And the video you guys used isn't her!"

Ethel Johnson made her professional wrestling debut in 1951 and wrestled for numerous promotions during her long career, including the Capitol Wrestling Corporation, Big Time Wrestling and the AWA. Johnson picked up gold along the way as well and she enjoyed one reign with the NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship with June Byers before she retired in 1976.
