AEW's Darby Allin Reveals Why He Turned Down A WWE Contract

Philadelphia Street Fight TONIGHT!

After Darby Allin defeated Jimmy Havoc on last week's episode of AEW: Dynamite, tonight's instalment will see Allin challenge Chris Jericho for the AEW World Championship.

The bout will see Jericho bring The Painmaker to All Elite for the first time as the match will be contested under Phillidelphia Street Fight rules.

Darby has been speaking to Uproxx recently and has revealed that he received an offer from WWE, an offer that he wasn't remotely interested in: “I was like, ‘I’m not even interested.’ I’m not the type of guy who wants to sit on the sidelines and say, ‘Gee, I’m just happy to be in WWE.’ I don’t give a f**k. My whole thing is I want to get out of wrestling sooner than later and go into film full time and direct my films.”

Darby continued to make his feelings about wrestling for WWE clear in a tweet posted not too long ago: "Let me make something clear. I don't dislike football players that have passion for wrestling. I dislike jocks that have zero creativity and only do this cause someone said "you can jump all these small bastards in line to the top".
