Andrade Suspended For Violation Of WWE Wellness Policy

Expected to be gone 30 days...

Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet has reported that WWE United States champion Andrade has been suspended for violation of the WWE wellness policy.

The report says that Andrade was informed of his violation on Monday morning. There is no word on what the specific cause was.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider confirms that a 30 day suspension is expected to formally begin on Tuesday.

WWE appeared to run an angle on Monday's Raw to write Andrade out for the requisite 30 day suspension period given to first-time offenders.

In a rematch from Sunday's Royal Rumble Kickoff show, Andrade lost to Humberto Carrillo via disqualification, due to interference from Zelina Vega.

Carrillo then took Andrade outside the ring after the match, and hit him with his own hammerlock DDT onto the concrete floor, to write Andrade out with a storyline injury.

WWE has yet to formally announce the suspension, but is expected to do so through their corporate website.

Andrade is the first WWE performer to be suspended for a wellness policy violation since both Robert Roode and Primo Colon on December 10.
