Batista Reveals He Tried To Talk The Undertaker Out Of Goldberg Match At WWE Super ShowDown

The Deadman didn't give The Animal what he wanted...

Last Friday night at WWE Super ShowDown, The Undertaker and Goldberg main evented the card in a match that will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.

Either Da Man or The Deadman could have been seriously injured in a bout hampered by mistakes. First of all, Goldberg appeared to headbutt the ring post after missing an attempted Spear in the corner, before the former WCW World Champion's head appeared to be spiked into the mat during a Tombstone.

The final major error of the match saw an attempted Jackhammer from Goldberg turn into a sickening Brainbuster.

Now, in an interview with Pro Wrestling Sheet, Batista has revealed that he tried to talk The Undertaker out of appearing in the match: “I called ‘Taker Friday. I called him Friday and I said, ‘hey man, is there any way I can talk you out of this?’ and he just started laughing. He goes, ‘You know, when they talked to me about it a while back it sounded good, but I’m obligated, so we’re doing it.’”
