Bret Hart Declines Invitation To WWE Raw Reunion

"The Hitman" will not be in attendance...

A few dozen names have been linked to this coming Monday's special reunion episode of Raw in Tampa, but a rather important part of the show's early years has turned down an invite.

Five-time WWE Champion Bret "The Hitman" Hart, who was in his first reign with the title when the show launched in January 1993, has apparently chosen not to appear.

Dave Meltzer wrote on Friday, "While never advertised, we've been asked a lot about Bret Hart. Hart was asked but declined the offer."

This follows All Elite Wrestling broadcaster Jim Ross revealing last week that he turned down an invitation to appear at Raw Reunion, despite having the blessing of President Tony Khan to do so. The former Bubba Ray Dudley, now Bully Ray in Ring of Honor, also reportedly declined an invite.

Hart's most recent appearance of note came at AEW's Double or Nothing pay-per-view on May 25, as part of the reveal of the World Heavyweight title belt. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame for the second time (as a member of The Hart Foundation) on April 6.
