Cain Velasquez No Longer Advertised As Wrestling On WWE Mexico City House Show

Former UFC Heavyweight champion dealing with injury...

Former UFC Heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez's second WWE match was due to take place at a house show in Arena Ciudad de Mexico on November 30 in Mexico City. There, he would have teamed with Rey Mysterio to take on Drew McIntyre and Andrade.

That has now changed, as Velasquez is still advertised for the event, but is no longer listed as being in a match, according to WWE Espanol.

Mysterio will now team with Humberto Carrillo to take on Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson. Neither McIntyre nor Andrade are listed on the updated card.

No official word has been given as to why the changes were made, but it's known that Velasquez is dealing with a very serious knee injury. His match with WWE champion Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel a week ago went barely over two minutes, and the indication is that surgery seems likely.

The venue is the same place in which Velasquez made his in-ring debut as a wrestler. That match took place on August 3 for AAA's TripleMania XXVII.
