Charlotte Flair's WrestleMania 36 Opponent Teased On WWE Raw

The Queen looks set to join the Wednesday Night Wars...

Since she won the Women's Royal Rumble match, many have wondered who Charlotte Flair will choose to face at WrestleMania 36. Her victory in the Rumble somewhat underwhelmed WWE's fans as they have already seen her face Becky Lynch and Bayley on numerous occasions, and The Queen hasn't undergone a significant spell outside the title picture since moving to the main roster in 2016.

Fans don't need to worry, however, as Dave Meltzer reported on January 28 that WWE planned to have Flair challenge Rhea Ripley for the NXT Championship at The Showcase Of The Immortals.

Meltzer's report has now seemingly been confirmed as WWE made moves to set up the match during last night's episode of Monday Night Raw.

During the broadcast, Flair cut a promo in which she discussed how she had already held both the Raw and SmackDown Women's Championships on multiple occasions and defeated Bayley and The Man countless times.

Ripley then interrupted the 10-time women's champion and reminded her that she had never beaten her, and in fact, she owned a pinfall victory over Flair. On the November 22 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Ripley and Charlotte faced off in a Triple Threat match with Sasha Banks. While The Queen had the Figure Eight locked in on Banks, Ripley snuck under Flair and pinned her shoulders to the mat for the 1-2-3.

After reminding her of their past encounter, The Mosh Pit Kid challenged Flair to a match for the NXT Championship at WrestleMania 36.

Charlotte ultimately left the ring before responding to the Champion's challenge but later announced she would be at Full Sail University for this week's episode of NXT.
