Chris Jericho Received Offer From IMPACT Wrestling Before Signing With All Elite Wrestling

It could have been all so different...

The All Elite Wrestling Double Or Nothing Fan rally ended with Chris Jericho announcing his arrival in the company. The former IWGP Intercontinental Champion said he was going to help Cody and The Young Bucks take over the universe, as well as saying that he is All In with All Elite Wrestling.

Before Jericho signed with AEW, however, the man himself has revealed that IMPACT Wrestling made him an offer.

Speaking on the Talk Is Jericho podcast, Chris said: “They (IMPACT) were going to spend some money on Chris Jericho. I did honestly talk to IMPACT and really really thought about going there.”

Ever since Don Callis rocked up in IMPACT, rumours of Chris turning out for the company have refused to go away. As well as his role as a higher up in IMPACT, Callis is one of the English speaking announcers for New Japan Pro Wrestling and played an integral role in setting up the Jericho/Omega match from Wrestle Kingdom 12.

Jericho, of course, penned a three-year deal with AEW.
