CM Punk Comments On Possible WWE In-Ring Return, Responds To Seth Rollins

Straight Edge Superstar speaks on WWE Backstage...

After shocking the professional wrestling world last week, CM Punk made his hotly anticipated official debut on WWE Backstage last night.

While many topics came up during his first episode, the discussion quickly turned to whether or not we can expect the former WWE champion to re-enter the squared circle.

In a one-to-one interview with co-host Renee Young, Punk did not rule out a return, saying: “I work for FOX, I haven't talked to anyone in WWE. It's nothing that I'm actively pursuing or interested in. But I'm 41 years old and I've lived and experienced life where I know to not say no, but...that's gonna be a bridge that is gonna have to be built, and it might take as long as building the Great Wall of China.”

The Voice of the Voiceless also responded to the challenge issued last week by The Beast Slayer Seth Rollins, where the former Universal Champion asked him simply to: “FIGHT ME.”

Punk said: “I want my journalistic integrity to be intact, so this isn't the show to come on and shoot your little angles. Seth needs to stop tweeting and realise sometimes it's better to be viewed at as the fool and shut your mouth, or open your mouth and removal all doubt.”

Rollins then proceeded to retweet Punk's comments, adding: “HELL of a 'response.' [eye rolling emoji] Coward.”
