CM Punk Open To Wrestling Return With All Elite Wrestling

It sounds like The Young Bucks just need to convince him...

It's the issue that will never go away: will CM Punk ever return to professional wrestling?

Well, if the heavily rumoured All Elite Wrestling promotion actually becomes a real thing, it certainly appears there's a chance. Punk recently spoke with MMAFighting and All Elite Wrestling was brought up. When asked if he'd be open to speaking to those involved to be a part of the company, Punk said yes.

“I would always listen,” he said. “I would listen to them because just like Dave, I like the Young Bucks, I text with Matt on and off. But business is business.”

Speaking about his current status in a more general sense, the former WWE Champion is taking a more relaxed approach to work and is taking things as they come: "It’s a nice thing to be able to do and just kind of float and hang out and if somebody wants to pick up the phone like Dave Sholler did and call me up and say, ‘Hey, we really think you’d be good at this and we want you to be a part of your company,’ (The Bucks) can call me up and make an offer. That has remained to be seen. Pro wrestling is not on my radar.”

I guess it's up to The Bucks et al to get pro wrestling back onto Punk's radar then...

This revelation follows on from Punk landing a role as an announcer for Cage Fury Fighting Championships. The Straight Edge Superstar will be making his broadcasting debut at the CFFC 71 event on 14 December at the Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa in Atlantic City – the event will air on UFC Fight Pass.
