Cody Rhodes Says AEW Are "Definitely" Coming To The UK In 2020

Heading across the pond...

Back in December, All Elite Wrestling Executive Vice President Cody Rhodes stated the young promotion would "100 percent" be heading to the UK in 2020. However, since then, talk about a future UK show has gone quiet, and with Double Or Nothing being held in Las Vegas again, many have wondered what type of event AEW plans to host across the pond.

Cody reiterated on Wrestling Observer Radio that an AEW UK show will "definitely happen in 2020" and he even teased they could go on a mini-tour around the United Kingdom. He again stated they planned to visit London and Manchester, but also other hotbeds of wrestling. Rhodes neglected to provide any dates, however, but did say they will be looking to provide an update soon.

Cody said: "Yeah, just a very vague 2020, but I will hold my word, and Tony will hold his word, and The Bucks, and Kenny, and everybody. We have to go, we have to go to London and Manchester and there’s a lot of great markets in the UK, but 2020 we have to take those steps for sure and I think we'll do well…It’ll definitely happen in 2020 and hopefully, we get some more news about that. I will say it will probably be a series of shows, like a mini-tour, and I could be totally wrong here. My goal would be to do a mini-tour."
