Enzo Amore To Wrestle First Match In Over 18 Months This Friday

On a rather name-heavy show...

Enzo Amore, now known simply as "NZO", will perform in his first match since the very start of 2018 this coming Friday night, for Northeast Wrestling in Poughkeepsie, NY.

NZO's opponent will be Brian Pillman, Jr. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, NZO requested the match, as he was a huge fan of Pillman's father, the legendary "Flyin'" Brian Pillman.

NZO, who was WWE Cruiserweight champion at the time of his sudden termination from the company, last wrestled on Sunday, January 21, 2018. On that date, he defeated Cedric Alexander at a live event, with Nia Jax as the guest referee.

Coincidentally, that match took place in the same building NZO wrestles in this Friday, Poughkeepsie's Mid-Hudson Civic Center.

The Northeast Wrestling card, dubbed "Prison Break", features a main event of Jon Moxley vs. Pentagon, Jr. Also on the card are Jerry Lawler, David Arquette, Rey Fenix, LA Park, Jungle Boy, and Luchasaurus, along with Big Cass, whom NZO will also act as manager for.

The event will stream live as part of the Highspots Wrestling Network.
