First Matches Set For WWE NXT TakeOver: Toronto (Spoilers)

Two title matches already!

With WrestleMania 35 weekend taking place in the New York area a couple of months ago, the yellow and black brand's customary summer event will not be taking place inside the Barclays Center.

Instead, what is normally the TakeOver: Brooklyn series will be heading to Toronto, with NXT's biggest event of the summer heading for the Scotiabank Arena on August 10.

The most recent set of NXT TV tapings took place last week, full spoilers of which you can read here.

Obviously, if you want to avoid further spoilers please close this article now.

During last week's tapings, two matches for TakeOver: Toronto were booked.

The first of those matches will see new NXT Tag Team Champions Street Profits take on Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish of the Undisputed Era.

Back at TakeOver: XXV on June 1, both teams were involved in the fatal 4-way ladder match that saw Montez Ford and Angelo Dawkins win the vacant gold.

The other match booked for TakeOver: Toronto will see NXT Women's Champion Shayna Baszler defend her title against Mia Yim.

On top of that, a triple threat between Velveteen Dream, Pete Dunne, and Roderick Strong for Dream's North American Championship was teased, while it also looks like we are going to be seeing Cole vs. Gargano for the NXT title once again.
