Former IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Reportedly Heading For AEW

Could the Golden Lovers get back together once again?

Last night, a whole host of new names were added to the All Elite Wrestling roster at the company's Double Or Nothing Ticket Announcement Party in Las Vegas - you can see the full roster here.

The party was headlined by the appearance of Kenny Omega, who is now an Executive Vice President of AEW - the same titles Cody Rhodes and The Young Bucks have working under Tony Khan.

Is there a chance that Kenny's former tag team partner could be joining him in AEW? There certainly is if a report from Cageside Seats is to be believed. According to them, Kota Ibushi is expected to work with All Elite Wrestling once he’s cleared from the concussion he sustained at Wrestle Kingdom 13.

This is an interesting one, and not just because it opens the door for the Golden Lovers to reunite once again. It's potentially another New Japan Pro Wrestling roster member appearing for AEW, hinting that a working relationship between the two companies is surely becoming more of a probability, rather than a possibility.

Chris Jericho has made it clear on his podcast that he's looking to work with NJPW again, while Kenny Omega started 2019 by saying that he'd be taking a break from wrestling for them.
