Inner Circle Members Will Accompany Jake Hager For Bellator Fight On Friday

AEW group sticks together...

Conspicuous by his absence during the Great Dippin' Dots Melee of 2019 was Jake Hager. His fellow Inner Circle stablemates took a beating at the hands of Cody Rhodes and company on Wednesday night during AEW Dynamite, but Hager has more pressing concerns: a fight at Bellator 231 on Friday night against Anthony Garrett.

Hager was already in Connecticut ahead of his fight at the time of Dynamite's airing, but his AEW running buddies are about to join him.

ESPN combat sports reporter Marc Raimondi reports that Sammy Guevara, Santana, and Ortiz will be in attendance at Bellator on Friday night, in support of Hager. Raimondi adds there could be a post-fight photo op inside the cage, most likely if Hager were to emerge victorious.

Hager is currently undefeated as a heavyweight in Bellator, sitting at 2-0, although the level of competition he's faced so far hasn't been considered top flight. Each win came via first-round arm-triangle choke submission, first over JW Kiser in January, then TJ Jones in May.

His next opponent, Garrett, outweighs Hager by roughly 20 pounds, and boasts a record of four wins and two losses, with three of his wins coming via some form of knockout.
