January 15 Episode Of AEW Dynamite Officially Titled "Bash At The Beach"

Kickin' it old school...

All Elite Wrestling announced Monday that an old WCW standard will be resurrected in the new year, as the January 15 episode of Dynamite will be officially titled Bash at the Beach.

The event is scheduled to take place at the Watsco Center in Miami, tfive nights before Chris Jericho's Rock n Wrestling Rager at Sea cruise sets sail, also from Miami.

Earlier in 2019, Cody Rhodes filed trademarks on a number of old WCW and Jim Crockett properties, including Bash at the Beach, Battlebowl, and Bunkhouse Stampede, leading to speculation that some of those names would be used as part of AEW's event calendar.

Bash at the Beach ran as an annual event from 1994 through 2000, replacing Beach Blast in WCW's event chronology. The event always took place in the month of July, held either in Florida or California.

Notable occurrences at Bash at the Beach have included Hulk Hogan winning the WCW title from Ric Flair in his debut match in 1994, Hogan's heel turn and joining of the New World Order in 1996, and Booker T defeating Jeff Jarrett for his first World title in 2000.
