Jerry 'The King' Lawler & JBL To Commentate Men's WWE Royal Rumble Match

Returns, they are a-happening...

Returns are one of the main selling points of the Royal Rumble match - nostalgia runs wild, the pops, they are a-plenty.

Jerry Lawler appeared on this week's episode of WWE Raw, emerging from Vince McMahon's office with a big smile on his face. That smile was splashed across the WWE Hall of Famer's face with good reason, as King was not only handed a new two-year deal by WWE recently - that deal includes a raise, by the way - but he's also going to be commentating the men's Royal Rumble match inside Pheonix's Chase Field on Sunday, January 27. Lawler announced this on his Dinner with The King podcast.

Also making a return to the commentary table for the men's Rumble match is John Bradshaw Layfield.

The returning duo will be commentating alongside Michael Cole for the men's match, with Cole presumably taking the play-by-play reigns for the women's Rumble as well.

For the women's match, Cole could commentate alongside Raw's Renee Young and WWE Hall of Famer Beth Pheonix - the trio that called the Evolution PPV in the Autumn.
