Kurt Angle Signs New WWE Contract - Length & New Role Revealed

Angle retired at WrestleMania 35 in the match against Baron Corbin...

After losing to Baron Corbin in his retirement match at WrestleMania 35, it looked like Kurt Angle's relationship with WWE was coming to an end.

While the Olympic gold medalist did appear on a subsequent episode of Raw to get destroyed by Lars Sullivan, an appearance at Starrcast II seemed to hint that Angle was no longer under contract with WWE.

However, Angle's appearance at Starrcast was cancelled, and now, an in interview with Wrestling Inc.'s Andy Malnoske, the man himself has revealed that he has signed a new contract with WWE: "I signed a five-year deal with WWE. I'm going to do some part-time - if they need me in front of the TV, maybe managerial, where I would be managing some wrestlers."

Appearing on TV will not be Angle's primary role going forward, however. The four-time WWE Champion revealed that he will be working for Vince McMahon in a producer role, putting televised matches together for the Superstars of today: "But the most important thing is I'm going to be a producer. I'm going to help the wrestlers with their technique. I'm going to help them structure their matches. It's something I'm very good at."
