Latest On NJPW & AEW Potentially Working Together

Chris Jericho and Jon Moxley caught in the middle...

Reports earlier this year suggested the ongoing working relationship between New Japan Pro Wrestling and ROH was ending, opening the door for AEW to start working with NJPW instead.

Here we find ourselves in June and we still don't know if New Japan and All Elite are going to be working together going forward.

At Double Or Nothing, with Chris Jericho defeating Kenny Omega clean ahead of The Alpha's meeting with Kazuchika Okada for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, it looked like a working relationship was playing out in front of our eyes.

However, reports surfaced last week suggesting those in charge at AEW are still unsure whether to showcase Jon Moxley's newly won IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship on their events, even though both Cody and Kenny Omega have held the title themselves.

The signs continue to look uncertain when it comes to NJPW and AEW working together as Japanese wrestling journalist Fumi Saito claimed on his podcast that New Japan told him not to mention AEW during a recent promo aired on their programming.

The signs don't look good at the time of writing.
